The majority of governors in a Catholic school such as St. Aloysius Catholic Primary School are Foundation Governors, appointed in the name of the Archbishop of Westminster. Foundation Governors have a legal duty to preserve and develop the Catholic character of the school and to ensure that the school is conducted in accordance with its Trust Deed.

Becoming a Parent Governor
Parents of pupils attending the school may elect one or more of their number to serve as a school governor. Elected parent governors, like elected teacher governors, are full members of the governing body.
